EMPOWER should optimise the climate in which its Members can work effectively in a response to an oiled wildlife incident or other marine wildlife emergency. The activities so far carried out by Sea Alarm, and many other motivated organisations have been directed towards this objective. Under EMPOWER these activities will become more visible and presented as a logical, consistent package. EMPOWER Members have a strong say in the identification and development of future activities by expressing their needs and making proposals for improvement. The Steering Group will consider these proposals and work with the Secretariat to develop them into annual and multi-annual working programmes.

Results from these activities will be made available directly to Members and, if appropriate and relevant, published on www.oiledwildlife.eu.
